Because of the Corona crisis, almost all sports competitions in Europe are currently standing still, but digital competitions are now popping up like mushrooms. An overview of the most important sporting events that will be digitally completed in the near future.
Darts
The PDC is introducing the so-called Home Tour this week. 32 nights in a row, four professional darts players all play once from their own home. Each batch is a Best of Nine in legs. The 32 group winners of the first phase go into the second phase. All darts players with a tour card at the PDC are invited to the Home Tour.

Formula One
The first series of the Grands Prix of the season was all cancelled and therefore Formula 1 has been organizing virtual races since the end of March to entertain the motorsport enthusiast. The digital Grands Prix will all be finished on the day the original race would take place.

Chess
World champion Magnus Carlsen is challenging seven other top chess players, including Dutchman Anish Giri, to a digital tournament. The best chess players start with a group stage, followed by a Final Four to determine the winner.

Tennis
The cancelled Madrid-Kies tournament will continue this year, but on PlayStation 4. Kiki Bertens, who won the prestigious tournament last year, will be Tennis World Tour try to win the virtual version of the Madrid Open.
The men are Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal. The field consists of a total of sixteen tennis players, which are divided into four groups of four. Numbers one and two move into the quarter-finals. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the fight against the coronavirus.

Soccer
EA Sports organises the so-called Stay and Play Cup, a knockout tournament in which 20 European clubs FIFA 20. The Netherlands will be represented by Ajax and PSV, with whom Sergio Dest and Mohammed Ihattaren will run the controllers. Justin Kluivert (AS Roma) is also in attendance.

Cycling
In the footsteps of the Tour of Flanders, which attracted more than 600,000 spectators, there are more virtual cycling races on the programme. On Sunday, the Amstel Gold Race will host a virtual 26-kilometre tour for amateur and professional riders.
The virtual Tour of Switzerland will take place at the end of April and no less than fifteen of the 18 World Tour teams will take part. The teams will send three drivers each, who will drive at home on the tarmac on digital Swiss roads.
If: Amstel Gold Race on Sunday, April 19 and the Tour of Switzerland from April 22nd to 26th.
