Meghan Markle ‘disarming’: The designer of her wedding dress trusts

As she prepares to leave the Paris house after three years of loyal service, the former American actress’ designer made a true declaration of friendship on April 23, 2020.
“Two years ago today, I was at the last dressing up of a very secret dress. So many emotions went in the months before the big day (…). Through the hours of conversation, meeting and research, all parts of this story slowly came together. Purity and simplicity were the guidelines, a report on nature by the 53 flowers of the Commonwealth [brodées sur le voile, NDLR] take the world on the journey of this ceremony, and the subtlety that the Givenchy lines and the history of the house brought to capture the timeless beauty I knew [Meghan Markle, NDLR] wanted to achieve.“In the end, in a clean silk dress, close to the body, with a boat collar and three-quarter sleeves, it was the American who married Prince Harry. Meghan Markle has worn several Givenchy outfits during her official engagements.
