The world watched their efforts and we were deeply moved by what we saw.” The Duchess added: “Unfortunately, you are on the front line of another emergency. The Covid 19 epidemic has once again brought together first aid across Australia (…). Today, on this first Australian Day of first aid, you deserve all our thanks.”

Last February, it was announced that Prince William and Kate Middleton had a new official trip to Australia to visit the areas devastated by fires in early 2020. It is currently not known whether it will be maintained after the coronavirus pandemic.
