Coach Bosz plays with Leverkusen against Frankfurt in the DFB-Pokal | NOW
Peter Bosz reached the last 16 of the DFB Cup with Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday. The training of the Dutch coach lasted 4-1 against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Leverkusen, where Daley Sinkgraven, who had recovered from the corona, stayed on the bench for the whole game, got off to a sluggish start. Amin Younes injured his former Ajax coach with a nice shot in the right corner after six minutes. Lucas Alario evened the result in the 27th minute after Tuta made the hands.
The home side took the lead shortly after the break thanks to a striking header from Edmond Tapsoba, who scored the goal after a free-kick from Kerem Demirbay. Moussa Diaby made it 3-1 in the middle of the second half.
Jonathan Tah – the Leverkusen defender defeated the broken André Silva and received a red card – seemed to get his team in trouble for a while. However, Frankfurt could not take advantage of the surplus situation and got the lid on the nose in the 87th minute via Diaby from a lightning-fast counter.
Leverkusen will play against Rot-Weiss Essen in the next round, which will play on the fourth level in Germany. On Friday, Leverkusen, who won again after three games without a win, will visit Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.
