Bosz is looking forward to Cracker in Mönchengladbach: “Will be a top race” | Right away

Peter Bosz is sure that the football fans will be put on their way when Bayer Leverkusen and rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach meet in the Bundesliga on Saturday. The coach realizes that his team is in shape.

“Borussia Mönchengladbach has a good team and a strong season. On Saturday, two good teams will face each other, which will be a top-flight game. We can all look forward to it,” Bosz said at his forward-thinking press conference on Friday ahead of the away game.

Leverkusen won their first league game since early March with a 4-1 win over Werder Bremen on Monday. This leaves the current number five in the race for a Champions League ticket, to which the top four teams in the Bundesliga are entitled at the end of the season.

“There are still five teams fighting for Champions League places and I’m obviously glad we’re one of them,” Bosz said. “Borussia is only two points above us, so we can take an important step. We look forward to it.”

“Our game is only getting better”

Bayer Leverkusen can rely on a strong series at the sold-out Borussia-Park Mönchengladbach on Saturday, as the Werkself is already 11 official games in a row (all competitions) unbeaten. Hoffenheim handed Bosz and Daley Sinkgraven their only defeat in 2020 at the beginning of February.

“We are in good shape. That was the case before the Corona crisis, and it is now,” Bosz said. “We had good moments against Werder Bremen, but the most important thing was that we win. Our game is only going to get better.”

The match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen starts on Saturday at 3.30pm. The difference between Bosz’s team and league leaders Bayern Munich is eight points, while Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also currently better at the game.
