Fernando Alonso returns to Formula One next season Bbc Tuesday. The Spaniard is said to have already signed a contract with Renault.

According to various media reports, Renault will announce the arrival of 38-year-old Alonso this week. That can happen as early as Wednesday.

A month and a half ago, Alonso hinted at a return to Formula One. “I’m still in good shape for at least two or three years and my ambition is sky high. I would love to be at the top of motorsport.
