A light, quick and delicious moussaka

This recipe, straight from Greece, will bring spring to life sooner than expected. In less than an hour you can cook an excellent healthy moussaka made from lamb.

Ingredients for 4 persons:

  • 400 g minced lamb
  • 2 eggplants
  • 40 g grated parmesan cheese
  • 400 g tomato paste
  • 2 onions
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

preparation

Preheat your oven to 180 ° C.

Wash the eggplants and cut them into slices about 5 mm thick. Quickly sauté them in the pan so they are lightly colored on each side.

Peel and finely chop the onions and clove of garlic. Fry in a pan with olive oil over low heat for 3 minutes. Then add the minced meat, cinnamon and oregano and finish with the tomato paste. Mix, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove the lid and cook for another 5 minutes.

Place the eggplants in a baking dish and cover with a layer of meat preparation. Repeat this several times until you reach the top of your bowl. Finish with a layer of eggplant and sprinkle with parmesan.

Bake your dish for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve hot, with steamed potatoes if you wish.
